Job Description Summary:
Certis Biologicals is seeking a highly motivated Customer Service Representative with excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing outstanding service to our customers. This role will serve as a critical point of contact for domestic customer inquiries and orders, supporting day-to-day operations with accuracy and efficiency from our Columbia, MD headquarters.
The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for processing orders, coordinating with internal teams, supporting shipping logistics, and ensuring a seamless customer experience from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for domestic customer inquiries and new orders
- Enter, review, and manage customer orders in the ERP system with precision
- Arranging/coordinating/tracking shipments with carriers, brokers, freight forwarders/shipping agents
- Generating shipping and commercial order documents, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding order status, delays, and shipping updates
- Generate shipping documents and coordinate with logistics and shipping teams for domestic and international
- Work closely with internal departments (Sales, Operations, and Production) to ensure timely fulfillment
- Address customer concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally
- Maintain accurate customer records and documentation
- Support process improvements and contribute to a positive team environment
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
- Prior logistics customer service experience (2β3 years preferred)
- International import/export experience highly desired
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma
- At least 2 years customer service experience
