They specialize in mesothelioma and personal injury cases and are dedicated to seeking justice for clients and their families. The Firm is actively seeking a Paralegal for its Midtown Manhattan office. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail.
Job Summary: This position involves compiling facts and retrieving information, drafting and
analyzing legal documents. Much of the role includes intense reading. Individuals should be
motivated, meticulous and open to learning about asbestos bankrupt trust companies.
Business hours: 9:00a-5:00p
Essential Responsibilities:
Read and Summarize Depositions
Document reviews.
Draft Affidavits
Draft Letters
Review Death certificates and Estate documents for accuracy.
Review of pathology, cytology, and chest x-rays for correct diagnosis of asbestos related
diseases.
Review Expert reports for details and accuracy.
Ability to manage constantly changing priorities and be well organized.
Cure deficiencies on already submitted claims.
Daily communication with Trusts
Ability to keep personal information confidential.
Ability to successfully submit a claim.
Execute audit requests from the Trusts within the required time.
Qualifications:
B.A. in Legal Studies, Political Science, or related work experience is a plus.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Excellent time management skills
Affinity for reading
Ability to work independently, or part of a team, when needed.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Adobe, Word and Excel
