*MUST be able to handle PERSONAL INJURY files from inception to trial.
*Work in a fast paced environment
*Must know how to draft pleadings independently (NOC, SC, BOPs, Discovery)
*Must have litigation experience
*Must have Construction Labor Law experience
*Draft pleadings independently
*Bilingual in Spanish required
DAILY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
*Conducting intakes with new clients.
*Maintaining and updating legal calendar.
*Maintaining EBT/IME/EUO calendars.
*Requesting and reviewing medical records.
*Responding to insurance adjusters; defense counsel and other administrative tasks.
*Drafting legal documents, such as Notice of Intention, Note of Issue and OCA Retainer/Closing Statements.
*Heavy contact with clients and working personally with managing attorney.
*New case intake and initial assessment
*Review of initial intake notes and documents for completeness and accuracy
*Setting up claim with carriers
*Mailing out notice letters
*Setting up file in case management software
*Entering critical control dates and deadlines with precision
*Client contact via phone calls, email, texting and fax
*Contact with medical treatment facilities
*Gathering medical records and other necessary information to assist assigned attorney in claim negotiation

Ideally, the Paralegal is able to connect with clients and establish rapport in a way that instills confidence and reinforces that the firm has compassion for them, that they are working hard for them and that strengthens the attorney-client relationship with every contact.
