About the Role
As we continue to grow and diversify, we’re seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Technician to join our team in Waukesha, WI. In this role, you’ll be responsible for incoming inspections, monitoring production process inspections, final inspections, gauge calibration program, reviewing supplier PPAP submissions, participating in drawing reviews, and interacting with suppliers. You'll be a key contributor in building the tools that keep our global energy infrastructure running smoothly.

What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Three years performing responsibilites typically associated with a quality technician position in a manufacturing environment (machining environment preferred)
- Three years experience in inspecting machined parts with a variety of handheld gauges including but not limited to vernier gauges and dial indicators as well as digital calipers, height gauges, scales, and micrometers.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprint requirements.
- Experience in reviewing or creating PPAP submissions a plus
- Ability to travel locally to suppliers (5%)

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform incoming part inspection and work to continually improve process effectiveness
- Properly document issues investigated using the established logs and forms; communicate findings to other functions as needed.
- Perform final inspections on engines, new products, and product kits
- Conduct outbound shipping audits.
- Assist in the development, and implementation of site-level manufacturing quality processes
- Manage the gauge lab including calibration process and schedule
- Provide inspection and drawing review support to NPD projects
- Initiate corrective actions to correct process/part quality deficiencies
- Participate in problem solving to identify root cause and corrective action
- Participate in contacting suppliers if needed to present issues, SCARs, samples, discuss causes and solutions by phone, email, and in-person
- Participate in determining supplier PPAP requirements
- With direction from the Quality Engineer, review supplier PPAP submissions and verify parts through detailed inspection; participate in functional reviews of supplier PPAP parts
- Follow-up on findings from inspections performed on the CFR product line to ensure proper responses and closure in an orderly and timely fashion
