CGC is looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Press Manager to join our growing team in the New York office. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, a good communicator, and be passionate about the beauty industry. Contacts across print and digital space in beauty and wellness essential.
This role is based in our NYC office on a hybrid basis. This role is required in office a minimum 3-days per week.
Team structure; Reporting into an Account Director; Supported by an Account Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
- Media outreach and pitching support for Account Director across new launches and core product support
- Strengthen and manage relationships with key media with regular in-person meetings
- Create seasonal and trend-led press releases and e-blasts to drive placement features, showing proactivity in ideas and themes
- Oversee Account Coordinator in overall admin support and account management
- Assist with the creation of both short term and long term strategies for clients
- Conceptualize creative mailers, send-outs and new ways to elevate launches, in partnership with full team
- Support in event production across clients inclusive of venue research, vendor identification, rsvp management, etc.
- Creative thinking - participate in brainstorming, bring fresh thinking to clients and team
- Participate in client calls on a weekly or biweekly schedule
Required Experience / Competencies:
- Personable and professional client service and media relations
- PR and event experience, beauty contacts preferred
- Experience of collating and analyzing information to determine success and insights
- Exceptional communication skills – written and verbal
- Creative, proactive, and with the ability to employ initiative
- Highly organized, with good attention to detail
- Self-motivated, deadline focused
- Budget conscious
- Genuine interest in the beauty industry and the US media landscape
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint – Experience of working with analytical/monitoring tools e.g. Cision, Tribe, etc.
- Enthusiastic team player
- 2-3 years previous experience
