Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in a variety of clinical and administrative tasks. Duties: - Perform basic life support procedures, including CPR and first aid, when necessary - Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures - Take patient vital signs, record medical history, and update patient information in electronic health records - Prepare examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and availability of necessary supplies - Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers, including injections and inhalation treatments - Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urine analysis and blood glucose monitoring - Assist with medical coding and billing processes to ensure accurate documentation and reimbursement - Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing phone calls, and coordinating referrals - Prepare patients for diagnostic tests or procedures, explaining the process and providing necessary instructions - Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred - Valid certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic pharmacology - Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency Note: All positions must be paid including internship positions.
