DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for supervising the operational activities and staff of assigned branch.
- Insures the application and compliance with established operating policies and procedures.
- Compiles and analyzes branch operating reports for management. Coordinates member services and activities.
- Formulates basic recommendations concerning policies and services for review by management.
- Be aware of potential loss situations, whether caused within the assigned branch or another department; notify senior management promptly and ensure follow through to resolution of the issue.
- Assists in the counseling, training, and motivation of assigned employees.
- Perform duties necessary to open and close the branch including balancing the branch at end of day and processing of check 21 file(s). Balance and settle negotiable items daily.
- On-going product knowledge coaching to branch employees.
- Supervisor is expected to promote and cross-sell a full range of financial products and services including all deposit, loan and eServices.

- If there is an ATM on site, responsible for ensuring machine is functioning, balanced daily and appropriate cash levels are maintained. Responsible for ensuring appropriate supply levels are maintained.

- In the event of a breach in security, lead branch personnel on proper distribution of duties. Ensure safety measures are followed as well as proper preservation of affected areas.
- Acts as the vault teller for the branch and ensure that appropriate cash levels are maintained within the branch including preparing outgoing shipments to the Federal Reserve Bank as well as ordering cash for branch delivery from Federal Reserve Bank.
- Assist in preparing staffing schedules to adjust for scheduled and unscheduled absences. Collaborate with other branches/Branch Managers to lend staffing assistance when needed.
- Ensure the effective movement of branch traffic by assisting Personal Account Advisors (PAA) with member transactions, approvals, questions and overrides.
- Acts as a backup and/or primary to PAA with the ability to sell a full range of share and loan products and services.
- Assists the Branch Manager in performing monthly branch audits and verification of inventory control.
- Participate in continuous training and development, as assigned by manager or self-identified.
- May require temporary assignments at different branch locations.
- Minimum of two working Saturday’s a month at any Chaffey branch location.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRMENTS:
- Minimum of high school education, understanding of financial terms, good grasp of mathematics.
- Must have knowledge of Branch operational activities and understanding of loan practices as would normally be acquired from three years of responsible experience in a managerial or supervisory position within a financial institution.
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of all financial products and services and procedures related to the operation of the credit union.
- Must have at least three years working as Personal Account Advisor III (or equivalent).
- Must complete/pass Teller Supervisor knowledge assessment. Minimum score to pass: 80%
- Possess advanced knowledge in two specialized areas (i.e. card services, lending, merchant processing, new accounts, inventory control & settlement).
- Excellent sales skills, including the ability to cross-sell.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Computer proficiency is required and knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role;
