Purchasing Agent / Buyer

Challenger Companies, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Purchasing Agent/Buyer.

New projects & ongoing full-time work have us seeking additional team members to join our company at our Micron Division!

Commercial and/or Industrial experience electrical is preferred.

Wage $58.48 PLUS BENEFITS - Overtime opportunities likely

There is a daily incentive of $100.00 a day if the entire 10-hour shift is worked. There is no travel required for this position, and a great working environment - the work week is typically a 4/10 shift.

ALL Qualified Applicants MUST:

• Have previous experience in purchasing/buying electrical construction parts and tools.

• Manage purchasing activities by sourcing and procuring materials and supplies necessary for construction projects.

• Have PC experience with managing budgets, and organizing purchases to proper cost centers.

• Have experience getting quotes from various electrical suppliers.

• Abide by all safety regulation(s) on apparatuses used on job site(s) and abide by any requirements and/or regulations on job site by client/host.

• Good PC skills (WORD, EXCEL).

Responsibilities

• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and ERP systems to track inventory levels and budget expenditures.
• Collaborate with project managers to align purchasing strategies with project timelines and requirements.
• Monitor supply chain logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and maintain inventory control.
