Roofing Technician

Preferred candidates will have two years of commercial roofing experience; familiar with multiple roofing systems and rooftop equipment.

Chamberlin Roofing and Waterproofing is an established commercial specialty contractor that provides roofing and sheet metal, waterproofing and caulking, building and garage restoration services as well as related maintenance and leak repair. We are a leader in our industry with a reputation for excellence.

Chamberlin currently has FULL-TIME positions in our Roofing department available in Austin, TX. Chamberlin is looking for roofers with commercial job experience.

Have experience or knowledge of the following:

• Single Ply Roofing Membranes such as; EPDM, TPO, PVC and mechanically attached, fully adhered, ballasted
• Modified Bitumen Roofing Membranes; APP, SBS, hot-applied, cold applied, hot air and torched
• Standing Seam/Metal Roofing; barrel, curved and straight
• Built-Up Roofing Membranes; asphalt: hot-applied OR cold applied
• Sheet Metal Fabrications and Installations; coping, flashing, counter flashing, metal wall panels, gutters, collector heads, downspouts, fascia, trim and soffits

Job Description:

• Assist with general installation of roofing material and related responsibilities correctly, safely and timely
• Transport materials, equipment, and rigging during projects
• Promote Chamberlin's Safety Program and use safe work practices
• Learn and understand Chamberlin's core values of safety, quality and productivity
• Coach and assist team members on/with the proper application of products
• Other tasks as may be assigned

Abilities/Requirements:

• 1-year construction experience preferred
• Knowledge of commercial roofing application processes preferred
• Must be able to read a tape measure
• Able to work independently and produce a quality product
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Able to lift at least 50lbs
• Work outside in changing weather conditions
• Not afraid of heights. Must be able to climb a ladder 40'
• Available to work at least 40 hours per week and overtime when necessary
• Have reliable transportation to get to and from differing job locations

Pay: $17.00 - $28.00 per hour
