- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing the lab for daily exercises
- Being present during lab to assist both the Professor and students
- Cleaning materials, lab surfaces, etc. after the completion of lab exercises
- Adhere to prescribed laboratory dress code

- Current major in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or Forensic Science
- Minimum grade of B for CH/BC 203/L and CH/BC 204/L required
- Student should maintain a current GPA of at least 2.8
- Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Preparing for lab requires knowledge of solution preparation, supply location, scientific equipment operation and awareness of safety concerns in the lab exercise.
- Work with hazardous materials may be involved so awareness of safety concerns in the lab is compulsory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Organized with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize work and resources.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality.

- Other Requirements:
- This is a Part-time Non-Exempt Student Worker position. Depending on the project cycles and workflow demands of the department, additional hours or workday schedule changes may be occasionally required. Must be willing and able to work occasional nights and weekends and a varying schedule.
- Performs such similar, comparable or related duties as may be assigned or required
- Observes all safety and health regulations and works in accordance with safe work procedures and policies of the University. Reports unsafe acts/conditions and injuries in a timely and proper manner
