ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Committed to providing the highest level of customer service and upholding 4-star service standards.
- Possess excellent customer service and communication skills in order to develop good relationships with all guests and co-workers.
- Communicates professionally and accurately with guests and co-workers, both over the phone and in person.
- Extremely knowledgeable about the in-room dining menu in order to answer any and all questions guests may have.
- Takes complete and accurate orders efficiently and with attention to detail.
- Provides guests with accurate information about the in-room dining meal delivery.
- Proficient in entering in-room dining orders into the point-of-sale system.
- Prioritizes and works effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experienced in food service, preferably in an in-room dining setting.
- Address guest concerns effectively and timely and escalate as appropriate.
- Performs all duties in compliance with safety standards, health standards, the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, and internal policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed or requested.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated experience working in the food and beverage industry. Demonstrated experience problem solving, organizing, and prioritizing work. Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or the equivalent in education or experience. One (1) or more years of recent and related food and beverage experience, preferably within a hospitality or gaming environment. Experience in order taking and cashiering is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.
REASONING ABILITY: Decisions are limited to within the scope of essential duties.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Successful completion of Bloodborne Pathogens and hazardous material training.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES: Excellent customer service skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential duties involve performing physical exertion including frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, kneeling, squatting, crouching, and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties involve working in a small, confined area used to prepare food with floors that may become slippery in the process. Essential duties require lifting up to 50 pounds to stack, store, or move kitchen, restaurant, or general office supplies and equipment. Essential duties involve a flexible workweek with additional hours occasionally required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Essential duties involve working in a small, confined work area and kitchen environment with large numbers of people. Primarily in an inside environment, which are frequently loud or contain high noise levels, odors, and a commonly hot or cold work environment.
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED: Equipment typical of a kitchen and restaurant, including but not limited to: POS system, knives, spoons, forks, glasses, plates, pitchers, and various cleaning supplies.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$14.00 hour based on experience plus gratuities
