Job Description

The Early Childhood Education Teacher is responsible for managing the classroom, carrying out a developmentally appropriate educational program to meet the individual needs of each child, and promoting good communication between the Head Start program, parents, and the community. Champaign County Regional Planning Commission is seeking Early Childhood Education Teachers to join our team. Champaign County RPC is a people-focused agency made up of over 100 programs designed to generate possibilities for all within our community. Requirements

  • Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) with Infant-Toddler CDA preferred.
  • Experience working in an early childhood setting preferred.
  • Must meet all requirements of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services
  • Demonstrated dependability and exemplary attendance required.
  • Knowledge of Head Start and other agency rules and regulations preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse populations preferred.
  • Must meet all requirements of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.

Schedule: 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (M-F)

Starting Hourly Wage:

$19.00 - $20.00 (CDA)

$20.00 - $21.00 (AA)

$25.00 - $$26.00 (BA)

$26.91 - $27.91 (MS)

DOQ (Depending On Qualifications)

Formed in 1966, the Regional Planning Commission has spent 50 years cultivating partnerships and alliances that range from the federal government to local boards, councils, and committees.
