JOB DESCRIPTION: PREP COOK
Summary:
A Prep Cook facilitates the production of consistent high quality food products, preparing baked goods and setting up work stations and ingredients
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently prepare all prepped items in accordance with recipe, procedure, and menu specifications
- Adhere to all safe food handling and health department guidelines
- Assist management in proper food storage, receiving, stocking and rotation, abiding by dating procedures
- Complete opening and/or closing duties
- Back up DMO functions as requested
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Read and properly execute recipes and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ability to follow directions, work in a fast paced, customer responsive environment
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate with associates and management
- Ability to safely operate mixers and other food preparation equipment
- Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift
- Minimum lifting, pushing and pulling of up to 50 pounds
- Pushing, bending, stooping, walking, upward reaching, manual dexterity, seeing, hearing, writing, verbal communication
- Age requirements may apply in order to remain in compliance with State and Federal laws
