Chandler Hall, a non-profit, Quaker community provides high-quality care for older adults in Newtown, Bucks County and offers a wide spectrum of services for individuals at all stages of the aging process including Community Living, Personal Care, Residential Hospice, Memory Care, Home Hospice, Independent Living, Respite Care, and Skilled Nursing Care.
The Director of Nursing will lead our 53 bed skilled nursing to provide exceptional, quality care to the residents of Friends Nursing Home.
This position will be available in the early fall, when our current Director of Nursing will be retiring.
Responsibilities include:
Ensures the provision of high quality services to residents by hiring, training, supervising and evaluating staff in a manner consistent with the philosophy of Chandler Hall. |

Develop and maintain clinical policies and procedures, and staff competencies related to physical care, functional status and social well-being for residents. |

Promotes quality care. Responsible for Risk Management reporting. |

Develops Quality Improvement initiatives |

Assure compliance with all federal and state regulatory agencies and survey processes with DOH survey and licensure, Act 52 reporting and PA Ombudsman and Area Agency on Aging. Maintain policies and procedures and education for Infection Control practices for individual and facility functioning. Develop standards of practice and work flow plans for ancillary departments within the facility. Facilitates infection control practices at new hire orientation and in-services. Fiscal responsibility for staffing, supplies, and equipment. Human Resources functions- interviewing, scheduling, performance reviews and disciplinary actions. Requirements: Degree in Nursing and RN licensure required 3-5 years experience in a supervisory role in a skilled nursing home environment. Equal Opportunity Employer We value diversity. |
