Job Summary
One of our Govt . Client is looking for The Hearing Examiner . The Hearing Examiner will apply statutes, regulations, policy, and case law to write Administrative Review decisions in accordance with the Homeless Services Reform Act of 2005, as amended (D.C. Official Code
- 4-751.01 et seq.) and supporting regulations (29 DCMR
- 2500 et seq.).
- Convene informal hearings to evaluate testamentary evidence, documentary evidence, and motions.
- Determine if the information presented supports the underlying action
- Research and analyze legal issues
- Listen and provide mediation services to mixed audiences, specifically between persons receiving services within the District’s Homeless Continuum of Care and entities that deliver services to families, individuals, and youth experiencing housing instability or homelessness
- Work independently and have excellent time management
- Coordinate with the D.C. Office of Administrative Hearings to ensure proper docket management and timely responses to client appeals
- Juris Doctorate degree (Required)
