Job Title: Host Department: Food & Beverage
Reports To: Food & Beverage Managers FLSA Status: non-exempt
Summary
The host/hostess position is responsible to greet and seat guest, help with service, communicate with management and service staff regarding guest satisfaction.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties:
- Check work list.
- Prepare programs if necessary.
- Assist in setting up dining rooms.
- Communicate any difficulties or changes to managers.
- Attend “cue call”.
- Greet customers and escort them to their seats
- Accommodate guests with special needs.
- Communicate any inquiries, special requests, complaints/compliments to Food & Beverage Manager on duty.
- Help with service, pour water & coffee, clear tables, communicate with service staff any guest special requests.
- Respond to emergencies appropriately.
- Work as a team member and assist co-workers when needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- No prior experience needed; prior customer experience preferred.
- Must be a team player.
- Must be able to multitask.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand on feet for 6 or more hours at a time.
- Must be able to lift to 40lbs.
