Your responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
- Client Education, including animal care, nutrition, and lifestyle based preventive care recommendations.
- Gentle patient restraints.
- Obtaining a complete patient history and maintaining treatment records.
- Blood draws and IVC placement.
- Administering injections and medications.
- Laboratory work including microscopic evaluation and in house Idexx labs.
- Surgical preparation and assisting, including anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery.
- Ability to build rapport with clients, fellow team members, and leadership.
- Maintaining a positive, supportive approach at all times.
- Practicing patience, kindness, compassion, and understanding, especially in challenging situations.
- Tolerating clients gushing about how much they love their animals, puppy kisses, and kitty biscuit making parties.
