Core Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and engage with visitors, ask questions to understand their vehicle needs and preferences, and make vehicle recommendations.
  • Provide in-depth information and demonstrations of new and pre-owned Hyundai vehicles, highlighting features that align with the customer’s preferences.
  • Coordinate test drives and explain vehicle performance, features, and warranty options.
  • Maintain current and accurate knowledge of Hyundai inventory, trims, specs, and promotions.  
  • Work with Sales Managers and customers to overcome objections and close deals. 
  • Ensure all sales and financing paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Personally deliver sold vehicles to the customer and assist with technology setup to ensure the customer leaves the dealership feeling confident about their purchase.
  • Respond to online and phone inquiries, generate sales leads and schedule showroom appointments, tracking all sales lead activities in the CRM.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in automotive sales is helpful, but not necessary.
  • Strong people skills to build rapport with customers, understand their perspective, and overcome objections.
  • Persuasive and comfortable with negotiating with customers to find solutions that satisfy the customer and achieves dealership sales goals.
  • Solid technical and computer skills to navigate various software platforms.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving records.
  • Required to successfully complete Chapman’s pre-employment screenings, including a background check and drug test.

Hours and Work Environment:

The Sales Department is open Monday – Friday from 8AM to 9PM and Saturday from 8AM to 8PM. We are closed on Sundays. This onsite, customer-facing role requires flexible availability to work various shifts including days, evenings, Saturdays and holidays.
