Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all dishes, utensils, pots, and pans used in food preparation and service.
- Operate dishwashing machines and ensure they are functioning properly.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen area, including washing floors and taking out trash.
- Help with food preparation as needed, supporting cooks and chefs during busy service periods.
- Buss tables by clearing away dirty dishes and utensils promptly to maintain a tidy dining area.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food service operations.
- Participate in deep cleaning tasks as assigned by kitchen management.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Willingness to help out in various kitchen tasks beyond dishwashing, including assisting cooks or catering events when necessary.
- A positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent hospitality to guests.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift moderate weights as needed.
