The Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School seeks qualified candidates to fill anticipated openings for the position of Lower School Hebrew Language and Judaic Studies Teacher
This position will require instruction in Hebrew language arts and various other disciplines of Jewish learning and teaching and will require an individual who demonstrates a passion for education and a palpable love for and warmth with children while instructing students in the Hebrew and Judaic Studies curricular areas of Torah, Hagim/Jewish Festivals, and Tfilah/Prayer.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hebrew language, Social Science or closely related field.
- Two (2) years of experience in teaching Hebrew. Speak, read, and write Hebrew fluently.

Work Environment:

Faculty may be asked to perform their work responsibilities on campus and/or at home. In both settings, the teacher is required to maintain a professional environment.

While on campus, classes may be operating either in person or in an alternative setting. Teachers are expected to be present and accessible for the entire school day (contracted hours) regardless of the setting.
