Role Description
This is a full-time position for a Commercial Superintendent at Charles R. Curtis Construction, Inc. The Commercial Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing daily on-site operations, managing subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring project timelines are met, while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Project Management, Construction Supervision, and Site Management skills
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety protocols
- Ability to layout and give elevations for utilities, sitework, and building required.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Willingness to lead, direct and potentially work alongside Company forces in self-performed work
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Experience in budgeting and cost control
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Five years experience in Construction
Responsibilities:
- Plan and supervise all field operations related to the performance of the project: methods of construction, project schedule, subcontractors, vendors, logistics, quality control, and delivery.
- Establishes, coordinates, and manages the sequence of work and methods in which the work will be accomplished by the subcontractors, vendors, and various personnel involved in the project that is consistent with the project delivery date, scope of work, and contract documents.
- Communicates in a timely manner with project management as needed to resolve construction issues and to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and client expectations.
- Manage and enforce job site rules and site safety program. Ensure that all field personnel are in compliance with all applicable safety standards and regulations. Communicates major issues in a timely manner to the Project Manager.
- Maintains high standards of workmanship and conducts quality control to ensure that installations and materials conform to the approved plans, specifications, and contract documents.
