Job Title: Marina Sales Manager

Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina, rated the #1 resort in South Carolina, has a fantastic opportunity for a Marina Sales Manager to join our team. The position is responsible for managing all sales activities of Charleston Harbor Marina, including coordinating the arrival and departure of vessels and acting as the initial liaison between new customers and the marina team. The Marina Sales Manager is responsible for promoting the leasing of marina slips, lifts, dock blocks, and jet docks by understanding the product, and market needs. The Marina Sales Manager must know how to make a profitable sales call, how to negotiate, how to overcome objections, and how to close deals. Candidates must possess strong organizational and communication skills, be customer-focused, and ensure standards are met while maximizing profits.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Make on-site and field presentations to prospective slip holders and transients.
· Manage leasing of new contracts for short and long-term slip holders and transient reservations.
· Manage renewals for existing short and long-term slip holders.
· Maintain consistent verbal and written communication with slip holders and transients.
· Work effectively with marina manager, dockmaster, marina staff and accounting department to meet customers needs and exceed their expectations.
· Manage slip and fuel dock inventory.
· Consistently meet or exceed sales goals.
· Maintain and keep up-to-date accounts in marina-based software, including inventory, insurance, and client notes.
· Active in selling and managing sponsorships for fishing tournaments and resort wide events.
· Conduct site visits, business to business marketing, and network with the local community to promote and grow all aspects of the marina.
Qualifications / Requirement:
· Hospitality and sales experience
· Dockmaster and marina software experience a plus
· Working Boating Knowledge
· Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, sales, or similar field
A minimum of 3 years of sales experience.
