Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Social Media & Digital Platform Manager serves as a key member of Charlie Palmer Collective’s corporate Marketing team and an active participant in determining the external voice of the Charlie Palmer brand and CPC’s other brands through ongoing social media engagement. Specifically, the Social Media & Digital Platform Manager will be responsible for, with the support of the CMO and others senior leaders, the ongoing development, implementation, and execution of the company’s social media strategy in an effort to maintain consistent growth in online engagement and follower base.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Social Media accounts for all CPC outlets and any new CPC brands.
- Complete a full orientation of the CPC portfolio and establish ongoing understanding of the nature of CPC’s relationships with various landlords, hotel partners, and licensees.
- Assist in establishing annual budget for social media spending, which shall include an allocation for content creation. The Social Media Manager shall utilize the budget for content creation to obtain and manage ongoing visual content for all social media accounts.
- Work with other members of the marketing team, corporate team, restaurant GMs, and executive chefs to ensure that all content that is being utilized for social media purposes is in line with brand standards, visually appealing, includes accurate descriptions, etc.
- Create and manage CPC’s social media posting schedule, which shall be circulated by the Social Media & Digital Platform Manager on a monthly basis. The social media posting schedule should provide a workable framework for posts/reels/etc. and understanding what is necessary for each outlet.
- Occasional travel when necessary, representing CPC as its corporate social media manager to obtain, and utilize, and store content.
- Manage CPC’s social media aggregation software (Sprout Social, or other software TBD) and relationships with their customer service representatives.
- Establish a set of key social media analytics to track on an ongoing basis – and review, analyze, and present those analytics to the Executive Leadership Team each quarter.
- Support other members of the corporate team’s efforts in preparing semi-annual Activity Reports for CPC’s licensed properties by providing relevant social media information for each property including graphic representation (screen shots) of posts, stories, reels as well as necessary data & analytics.
- Assist in managing CPC Search Engine Optimization strategy with third-party solutions.
- Assist in managing CPC Search Engine Marketing strategy with third-party solutions.
- Assist in managing CPC Online Platform Management - proactively make updates (change of hours, offerings, etc.) to various listing platforms like Google, TripAdvisor, Yelp, etc.
- Oversee Performance Targets/KPIs for all CPC social media accounts and assist in building annual target plans.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a social media manager / social media professional.
- Four-year degree in Marketing / Communications from a reputable educational institution.
- A track record of independently growing a social media handle to more than 100,000 followers.
- A commitment to working exclusively with CPC as its dedicated in-house Social Media Manager.
- Experience in and familiarity with the food & beverage industry and a general knowledge of the culinary arts, wine, cocktails, and hospitality.
- Past experience and knowledge of content creation, posting strategies, engagement strategies, creating follower growth, platform algorithms and best practices, and platform management.
- An ability to convert vision into specific and tangible actions and results to benefit the company.
- Strong communication, organizational, and critical analysis skills.
- An ability to represent CPC and communicate a clear sense of strategy and purpose.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and a natural drive to accelerate the growth of CPC’s social media initiatives through a focused work ethic, a devotion to collaboration with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders, and an ability to add unique value to CPC.
- Must possess attention to detail, confidentiality, integrity, and the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Must possess excellent communication skills both internally and externally.
- Excellent English language writing and verbal communication skills.
- Administrative & software knowledge such as Sprout, Adobe, InDesign, Microsoft Power Point, Excel, and Word.
