Charlotte County Public Schools boasts a competitive compensation package

Qualifications :
Ability to perform work involving physical strength and endurance
Knowledge (or the ability to gain knowledge) of the methods utilized in general mechanic work
Valid Class A commercial driver's license with appropriate endorsements to operate a school bus within six (6) months of employment (or ability to obtain within six (6) months of meeting FDOT licensing requirements)
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate.
Performance Responsibilities :
Assists mechanics in the repair of vehicles.
Assists in repairs to engines.
Maintains garage area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
Performs tire maintenance and replacement operations.
Assists in school bus- and other district- vehicles (scheduled) inspections.
Maintains effective working relationship with other employees.
Assists in motor vehicle road calls and recoveries.
Performs other job-related functions as may be assigned.
