What are the responsibilities and job description for the Therapist, Occupational position at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools?
Provide occupational therapy services to students at various schools or educational settings in the district. Occupational therapy services include but are not limited to the following: conduct standardized assessments and environmental/classroom observations; develop goals and intervention plans if indicated; collaborate with school teams, parents and other service providers; attend and present findings at Individual Education Program (IEP) meetings; provide direct and/or consultative services per IEP; comply with documentation requirements; supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants; and provide in-service training to IEP team members.
Additional Job Information : Certification by the American Occupational Therapy Certification board - NC Occupational Therapy license (required); minimum 1 year experience in a school setting (preferred)
Minimum Educational Requirements : Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (or current NC Occupational Therapy License and Bachelor's degree if graduated prior to 2004)
Term : 10 month position
Licensure Area : North Carolina Occupational Therapist License
