The Facilities Manager will be overseeing and providing maintenance, upkeep, and daily hands-on working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to support existing business processes for Chart Inc
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
- Oversee the maintenance and provide daily hands on working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to support existing business processes
- Perform and assist with the daily preventative maintenance activities, and assure that these tasks are performed correctly
- Schedule and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities of all the production equipment and the facility.
Your Education Should Be…
- High School Diploma
- 5 to 7 years maintenance experience in a heavy manufacturing facility
- Plumbing, Electrical, Hydraulics, and equipment maintenance knowledge
- Excellent working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Preferred: Degree in Business
- Preferred: Experience with Continuous improvement
- Preferred: Supervisor experience in building maintenance

Your Professional Experience Should Be…
- Must be a self-starter who works with minimal supervision and is able to direct others.
- The Facilities Manager must be actively involved in the maintenance needs of the facility.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Must have a good understanding of what is required to support the production function in a Manufacturing Environment.
- Must be well organized and able to coordinate multiple tasks.
- Must be a team player.
- Must possess a high energy personality and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Supervise and lead hourly maintenance team.
- Provide daily hands-on working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to support existing business processes.
- Support and follow company safety programs and quality environmental programs.
- Coordinates equipment shutdown for major maintenance
- Troubleshoots maintenance problems and determines when to call for outside repairs.
- Provide preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and make necessary repairs on plant equipment.
- Follow prints, sketches and schematics to assist in the installation of newer, rebuilt equipment.
- Assist in the tear down and overhaul of equipment components such as, but not limited to pumps, valves, regulators, and motors.
- Complete required reports and other documentation on assigned work and/or inspections.
- Exercise understanding of mechanical components and how they work in conjunction with electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic.
- Adhere to Chart standardized processes and procedures and maintain reports as required.
- Maintain highest ethical behaviour while following Chart's procedures, policies, work instructions and safety guidelines.
- All other work deemed necessary by supervisor.
