TITLE: Manager, IT
LOCATION: Maryland Heights, MO
JOB SUMMARY: Manage applications within Mobile ecosystem. Design, develop, and implement Big Data Projects using Hadoop Ecosystem tools. Resolve issues regarding development, operations, implementations, and system status. Build, maintain, test, and evaluate complex solutions in close collaboration with other engineers and analytic partners. Translate requirements into big data solutions. Perform maintenance and execution of existing processes, as well as continuous improvement. End to end responsibility of Big Data applications, from design to support. Manage team of developers, including day to day work assignment, yearly performance review, and mentorship. Support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Oversee multiple and large departments within IT. Build and implement IT plans. Support maintenance and enhancement of hardware and software systems that support field business applications in Mobile domain. Use Big Data tools and frameworks, implement ETL processes in order to maintain, improve, clean, and manipulate data. Profile data to measure quality, integrity, accuracy, and completeness. Develop and implement tools, scripts, queries, and applications for ETL/ELT and data operations. Deliver solutions by developing, testing, and implementing code and scripts. Manage life cycle of multiple data sources. Support and enhance existing application in production and uphold data delivery schedules. Manage large-scale software development and integration projects. Design and develop data warehouse to support business functions using SQL. Process and extract insights from large datasets using the Hadoop Ecosystem of tools, including Hive, Spark, HDFS, and Spark-SQL. Engage in managerial functions, including presenting reports to executive leadership, managing the budgets of programs and teams, and people management, which includes performance reviewing and task delegation.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or a related field; 5 years of experience: managing large-scale software development and integration projects; designing and developing data warehouse to support business functions using SQL; 3 years of experience processing and extracting insights from large datasets using the Hadoop Ecosystem of tools, including Hive, Spark, HDFS, and Spark-SQL; 2 years of experience engaging in managerial functions, including (i) presenting reports to executive leadership, (ii) managing the budgets of programs and teams, and (iii) people management, which includes performance reviewing and task delegation.
