Description
The Recreation Counselor is responsible for but not limited to motivating and interacting with all children attending the CBI Kids Crew drop-off program (including the evening Babysitting (‘Private Counselor’) Services) and general resort activities to include complimentary games and crafts, family events & challenges, and more. The Recreation Counselor provides consistent fun & exciting entertainment for our Resort while ensuring the safety of all attendees. Counselors will have the flexibility and creativity to implement new special events to enhance the stay of all hotel guests.Requirements
• Two years’ experience working with groups of children or a related course of study (Elementary Education, Children’s Studies, Recreation & Leisure Studies, etc.)- Work Pirate Cruises, Mascot Appearances, Art Projects at our Craft Tent, Weekly Carnivals
- Work Kids Crew and associated activities both AM & PM
- Current certification in CPR & First Aid
- Willing to work flexible hours with a rotating schedule to include weekends and holidays
- Outgoing, personable & energetic!
- Creative & Active
- Setting up and cleaning up of Fire Pits
- Oversee the Bike Shop
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to perform job functions with great attention to detail, professionalism, speed and accuracy
- Prioritize and organize
- Follow direction thoroughly
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Skilled in sports, games, crafts and event implementation
Desirable:
- Previous experience in customer service and/or the hospitality industry
