Chattahoochee Valley Libraries seek energetic, forward-thinking applicants for the position of Branch Manager of the Parks Memorial Public Library. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, organizational abilities, and community relations skills.
As a County Branch Manager, you must have a passion for making connections in the community, helping others, and sharing the joy of reading and discovery with all ages. You'll be responsible for library service, resources, and events. You'll serve as a key technology bridge to those without access in a rural setting and help them succeed in the modern world. In an area where the library is one of the only available resources in town, you'll have a chance to truly impact the community and make a difference in people's lives.
Responsibilities for the Branch Manager include:
·Managing, supervising and participating in all daily service and support operations within a branch
·Supervising, training, and evaluating Library Assistants and volunteers as the team provides service, plans programs and activities, provides outreach to the community, and maintains the collection
·Developing goals, plans, programs, and services for a branch library
·Representing the Library in outreach efforts, community organizations, and with local funding agencies
·Working closely with other branch managers, departments, and library administration to ensure quality, responsive services for customers
·Working closely with the county library board to plan and set agendas for local library governance
·Developing an organizational culture focused on exceptional customer service and committed to delivering innovative services, programs, and technology.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in job-related area
Equivalency: Public library experience and at least two years in a supervisory capacity
Salary: $45,005
