Restaurant Helper

Overview

Chay Concept is a new upscale casual Vegetarian restaurant and bar located in Soma Towers, Bellevue WA. We are seeking a friendly and efficient Restaurant Staff member to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of our restaurant team, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Duties

- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting guests and handling orders and payments efficiently.
- Assist with food preparation and presentation, adhering to high-quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the restaurant, including bussing tables and ensuring a tidy dining area.
- Manage the cash register and operate the Aloha POS system to process orders and handle transactions accurately.
- Demonstrate knowledge of food handling and safety protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for guests.
- Work effectively in a quick-service fast food restaurant, handling multiple orders and tasks simultaneously.
- Support the restaurant team with tasks such as food prep, inventory management, and restocking supplies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Requirements

- Prior experience in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant setting.
- Strong understanding of food handling and safety protocols.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency with cash handling and the use of a cash register.
- Familiarity with the Aloha POS system.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, lifting, and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to work as part of a team and provide support to colleagues.
- Basic math skills to accurately handle cash and credit transactions.
- A commitment to providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
