We are searching for an experienced Manager, Safety – Supply Chain for our facility located at 12430 4th St. Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730.
Summary
Manages effective safety programs for the supply chain. Guides and manages various departments regarding compliance with applicable company policies, and local, state, and federal regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned or required.
Bachelor's degree (B. A./B.S.) from four-year college or university; or five to seven years safety management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. OSHA 10- & 30-Hour Certifications a plus.
COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 annually. The actual starting pay will be determined by a number of qualifications, including, experience and relevant skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned or required.
- Responsible for managing, reviewing, and suggesting improvements to the standard operating procedures related to safety.
- Promotes and facilitates a work environment that supports a safe and healthy culture, identifies best practices and leads continuous improvement initiatives to reduce risk and promote safety.
- Evaluates and audits programs and policies for full certification to safety standards. Implements corrective actions based on audit results.
- Tracks and reports audit results to senior management.
- Oversees coordination and documentation of the safety training programs.
- Reviews and monitors performance of FTE / General Liability incident rate.
- Focuses on associate compliance with safe work practices in distribution center locations.
- Oversees safety programs for distribution centers and distribution center offices.
- Works with the Director, Environmental Health & Safety, regarding OSHA/government regulations with regard to compliance
- Attends management meetings and huddles to educate staff
- Manages and directs Safety Supervisors, and monitors their productivity and performance
- Suggests options for potential additions to safety equipment to the Director, Environmental Health & Safety.
- Monitors the progress and effectiveness of all safety programs, and documents and implements any necessary improvements.
- Works with Loss Prevention to oversee the resources needed to investigate safety violations while working closely with the Human Resources and Legal departments.
- Oversees and coordinates safety audits in the distribution centers.
- Promotes adherence to all company policies and procedures to keep associates, visitors, and contractors safe.
- Investigates all incidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses to determine root causes, submits detailed reports, and ensures corrective actions are implemented.
- Conducts safety audits and inspections of facilities, machinery, and equipment to identify and correct hazards.
- Monitors new developments, trends and best practices in the industry through professional safety and retail industry groups and professional organizations; provides updates to the organization as needed
