Full service catering company hiring a lead production chef who has a wide range of culinary skill set. This high energy position supervises the flow of food production in the commissary kitchen daily. Setting the pace and quality standards to be achieved for each catering order. This chef position must have high standards for food quality, sanitation and a professional work environment. For this new position we are seeking a candidate who demonstrates leadership skills and has a confident voice of delegation in the kitchen. This lead position requires the applicant to multi task on a daily basis, managing small and large scale catering production. Eighty percent of the job requires time and attention to detail at the commissary kitchen where all catering order are prepped, staged and packed for transport. Twenty percent of the job is to going on site to the catering location and executing the culinary needs as a lead event chef during the meal set up and service. Both areas of involvement rely heavily on organizational skills, quality standards and a refined sense for timing and urgency. Formal culinary training is helpful for this job and candidate must have or be willing to obtain a sanitation certificate. Applicant must be able to work a flexible schedule week to week and must be available for schedule changes and changes in their job function from time to time.
