The District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget.Position: Elementary ParaprofessionalDescription: Work with elementary school children, both in general education classrooms and the special education classroom to support students academically, socially, emotionally, and/or physically. Position involves working 1:1 with students, with small groups of students or supporting students within the general education inclusion setting as well as toileting. QUALIFICATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Associates degree, some college credit or passing the paraprofessional test.* Knowledge and understanding of various disabilities* Knowledge of school classroom procedure, including preparation and maintenance of records.
- Knowledge of special education procedures.* Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities at the Elementary School level.* Experience working with age-appropriate students in a school setting.* Support students academically, emotionally, behaviorally, socially in the school setting* Assist students with toileting as needed* Ability to follow directions and implement accommodations and modifications as directed by teachers and related service providers* Ability to collect data consistently* Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be found appropriate and acceptable by the principal, special education coordinator, and Director of Student Services.
Salary : $34,700 - $44,000
