Position Summary
The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department at the University of New Mexico is hiring a Research Assistant Professor. The applicant will participate in power grid resilience and cyber secure microgrid research activities in the ECE department. This requires the ability to conduct research in power grid resilience, supervise students, analyze data, and interpret scientific results. Scientific results will be presented through national presentations, as well as journal publications. The applicant will also be responsible for supervising UNM graduate and undergraduate student researchers.

Qualifications

- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Expertise in power grid resilience, distribution systems, and microgrids
- Proficiency in research skills with a track record of related publications
- Working knowledge of distribution systems, power system reliability and resilience, and microgrid operation
- Experience with data analysis tools and programming languages such as MATLAB
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
