The Opportunity
As a Maintenance Manager, you will lead a small team of Texas Maintenance staff, as well as managing and coordinating our contractors and outside vendors for general maintenance support of the facility and related equipment. We will rely on you for preventative maintenance and repair of all types of specialized equipment in the plant.
You will play an integral role in designing and building practices from start to completion. You will have the chance to cross-train on other equipment, crafts, throughout the plant. What you'll do:
Carry an owned project from start to completion with knowledge of design /build practices
Determine correct resources to fix issues with knowledge of field troubleshooting
Asset management of ChemTreat equipment / buildings, cost control, and required auditory/regulatory compliance management and documentation retention
Compliance with company safety policies including safe operation of equipment, PPE usage, hand tool safety, lock-out-tag-out, and proper storage of tools, etc. and compliance with good housekeeping policies
Accurately perform required computer data entry; Attention to detail is a critical function
Report complicated equipment malfunctions to supervision
Participate in team meetings, which include planning daily work and resource utilization, problem solving, project work, etc
Maintain visual management office supplies, clean and organized work area
Participate in corrective and preventative action practices as it relates to product quality, plant safety, environmental and DOT compliance
Identify hazardous waste and handle properly
Understand and execute policies and procedures that emphasize ChemTreat product quality and plant safety. Possess a thorough knowledge of departmental practices and procedures
Are you qualified?
High school diploma with Previous Supervisor / Managerial experience in a fast-paced Manufacturing environment required
Working knowledge of valves, pneumatics, boilers, RO systems, pumps, and plant operations required
Experience in inventory management (for necessary repairs), forklift operation, and computer data entry (Microsoft Office proficiency) required
Automation experience: knowledge of PLCs, and associated supporting hardware. Pipe fitter / Plumbing experience, Journeyman card preferred.
Willingness to be on call for unexpected plant issues and work during shutdown hours on repairs and upgrades as business needs require
Willingness to travel occasionally to other plant locations for project work
