CMA is hiring an entry level or early career Engineer. Candidates should be able to efficiently plan and organize their workload with their team, demonstrate success working with a team of professionals, a commitment to quality, good communication skills, and a positive work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Candidate shall work on various aspects of civil engineering design, plan preparation, permitting and construction oversight while working in a project team environment.
- Candidate would contribute to projects including collecting existing utility data; performing modeling and simulation; site grading; water distribution system; sanitary sewer collection system; drainage analysis; roadway alignment; pavement marking; signage; and erosion control.
- Prepare project design drawings within MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
- Develop project specific detail drawings.
- Calculate project construction quantity estimates.
- Assist with technical specifications, cost estimates, reports, schedules, and other related tasks.
- Learn and adhere to client-specific standards.
- Coordinate with team members and client representatives.
- Periodic travel to project sites for field investigation and or construction support.
- Project outlines, project initiation, project schedules, project executions, and project closeout.
- Interface with multi-disciplinary design teams.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
- a master’s degree is a plus.
- 0 - 2 years of experience working for a firm in the A/E/C industry.
- Engineer-In-Training (EI) designation is preferred. The expectation is that such candidate would be working towards becoming a Professional Engineer (P.E.)

- Knowledge of FDOT standards.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
- Knowledge of Civil 3D and ArcGIS.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply complex systems.
