PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

·         Must possess and maintain current license to practice in the state of Oklahoma. License must be in one of the following areas: Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Work (LMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT).

·         Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six (6) months of employment and maintain throughout employment.

The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Primarily responsible for providing clinical services relating to observation, intake, screening, and referrals including but not limited to psychotherapy and case management for the early education setting.

·         Be accessible for consultation to early learning settings and provide crisis intervention and de-escalation services.

·         Uses a framework of promotion, prevention, and early intervention to promote mental health and resilience and prevention of behavioral difficulties for those at risk.

·         Acts as a resource regarding early childhood development with an emphasis on emotional and behavioral health and the importance of the relationship between the participant and child/family.

·         Completes assessment plans to support participants, children, and families.

·         Provides observations and recommendations regarding the social-emotional environment to assist in identifying children in need of support with behavioral, emotional, or developmental concerns.

·         Develops written intervention strategies utilizing a team approach to assist staff in developing positive behavior support strategies to promote optimal social-emotional development.

·         Collaborates with childcare providers, families, directors, managers, and other team members to build their knowledge and skills to support the needs of children and families.

·         Provides group and individual training on overall social and emotional wellness with specific topics related to child development, trauma-informed care, attachment, self-care, and other related topics.

·         Partners and supports early care and education providers to support ongoing communication with parents regarding mental health, behavioral, or developmental concerns of their children.

·         Adheres to all data and program requirements.

·         Develops and maintains knowledge of resources and referrals in the community.

·         Demonstrates sensitivity to linguistic, cultural, social, economic, individual and role differences among persons and families served.

·         Provides services that are family-centered and relationship-based.

·         Maintains established work schedule, is punctual, keeps appointments, willing to adapt schedule to meet unexpected needs and changes, and utilizes time effectively.

·         Maintains, keeps clean, and utilizes efficiently and safely the agency’s/department’s physical facility and equipment.
