We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our Allergy & Asthma team. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations.
Responsibilities:
Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care, including taking vital signs, recording medical history, and preparing patients for examinations
Perform basic life support techniques when necessary
Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records
Assist with medical procedures and treatments under the supervision of healthcare providers
Administer injections, and perform Allergy testing
Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate effective patient care
Skills:
-Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to accurately assess patient conditions
-Familiarity with medical terminology
-Ability to provide medical administrative support, including accurate documentation and record keeping
-Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
-Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations with composure
Qualifications:
-Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
-Certification as a Medical Assistant required
-Previous experience in a healthcare setting is highly desirable
