Description
Cheshire Academy seeks a full-time math teacher for the upcoming 2023-24 academic year.
The successful candidate will be able to provide quality instruction in math courses ranging from
beginning algebra to upper-level statistics and calculus. In addition to an integrated college prep math curriculum, Cheshire Academy offers multiple levels of IB Mathematics as part of the International Baccalaureate diploma program. Experience with the IB diploma program is therefore a plus. Computer science courses are also offered within the department and may be an option if aligned with candidate interest and expertise.

Other responsibilities include:
- Advising;
- Coaching and/or leading cocurricular activities;
- Weekend team responsibilities;
- Residential/dormitory duties (if housing is provided.)
- Must have a valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a CT “A” endorsement for purposes of transporting students.
While there are other ways to contribute to the cocurricular program, current coaching needs that we are looking to fill include:
- Head Varsity Track & Field
- Head Varsity Girls Lacrosse
- Head Varsity Softball Coach
- Assistant Varsity Girls Soccer

Requirements
Minimally, this candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in mathematics, computer science, or a related subject. A Master’s degree, teaching credentials, and/or relevant experience teaching various levels of high school math is preferred. Applicants must embrace participation in the entire boarding school experience.
Salary : $43,400 - $54,900
