Position Overview:
Receive, store and stock frozen merchandise. May periodically take physical count of stock or check and mark merchandise.
Essential Job Functions:
Answer customers' questions about frozen merchandise and advise customers on selection.
Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise.
Receive and store frozen and other perishable merchandise.
Maintain cleanliness of display cases, shelves, and aisles.
Compare merchandise invoices to items actually received to ensure that shipments are correct.
Non-essential Job Functions:
Take inventory or examine merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.
Order merchandise from suppliers based on available space, merchandise on hand, customer demand, or advertised specials.
Pack customer purchases in bags or cartons.
Transport packages to customers' vehicles.
Requirements:
Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Mathematics — Ability to read a sequence of numbers and knowledge of basic arithmetic and its applications.
English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
