Wage Range
$17 - $18.50 per hour
Full time:
- Permanent Position
- 40 hours per week on average

Position Overview:
Perform and oversee work in the areas of:
Plan, direct, and coordinate daily operations of the Variety Department Staff training
Workplace safety:
These tasks are important to the company because they promote Chester’s mission, customer satisfaction, employee happiness, successful vendor relations, and company profitability.
Although many Essential Functions are performed according to established procedures, independent decisions will have to be made.
Essential Job Functions:
Oversee activities directly relating to customer service and the customer experience
Direct and coordinate activities of department production, pricing, and sales
Review performance data and assess goal achievement to determine areas needing improvement
Manage staff, oversee work schedules, assign specific duties, implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures
Communicate issues with subordinates and superiors as necessary
Work with the manager in planning and directing promotional activities
Oversee workplace safety in the Variety Department
Answer customers' questions about merchandise and advise customers on merchandise selection.
Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise.
Receive, open, unpack and issue sales floor merchandise.
