Resident Aide/Caregiver

Serving residents at our Assisted Living with Memory Care Facility

Duties:

- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medications following established protocols and guidelines.
- Monitor and record vital signs of residents.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding if necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents.
- Follow resident care plans and document any changes or observations.
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure their privacy and dignity are respected.
- Collaborate with social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

Skills:

- Ability to lift and transfer residents safely.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond in emergency situations.
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Familiarity with social work principles and practices.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Proficient in medication administration protocols and documentation.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when providing care to residents.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
