What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiver/ QC position at Chief Buildings?
Chief Buildings is currently seeking a Receiver/ QC to join the Chief team. This position requires receiving and visual inspection of all incoming loads. Once verified material data will be entered into our PC based operating system. Materials will be located to their appropriate areas utilizing shag tractors, forklifts and overhead cranes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs all duties in a safe and effective manner, utilizing required safety equipment.
- Fully knowledgeable of the capacities and proper operation of assigned equipment.
- Will assist in unloading and/or working from trailers.
- Perform routine maintenance of assigned machines.
- Properly complete all routine paperwork and computer data entry related to the job responsibilities.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
- Experience working in a manufacturing / warehouse setting.
- Ability to operate computers, forklift and overhead cranes.
- Must be organized, able to multi task and prioritize tasks with strict time frames.
- Must have a basic understanding of hand tools, including tape measure, calculators, calipers and micrometers.
- Basic math skills including decimals and fractions.
- Good communication skills.
Shift:
- 1st Shift – 6:00am – 4:30pm
