We're seeking a dedicated Early Head Start Teacher to nurture the development of infants and toddlers in our program. If you're passionate about shaping young minds and inspiring lifelong learning, we want you on our team.

What You'll Do:
  • Nurturing Learning Environments: Cultivate enriching educational experiences tailored to children ages 0-3. You'll plan and execute activities that foster social, cognitive, physical, and emotional development, laying a strong foundation for their future growth.
  • Developmental Screening: Conduct comprehensive assessments to track each child's developmental progress. With attention to detail, you'll document milestones and identify areas for targeted intervention, ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive.
  • Safety and Supervision: Ensure the well-being and security of our young learners at all times. You'll maintain vigilant oversight of indoor and outdoor environments, implementing safety protocols to safeguard their health and well-being.
  • Guidance and Support: Provide mentorship and direction to Teacher Assistants and volunteers, ensuring alignment with educational standards. Your expertise will empower them to deliver high-quality learning experiences that meet the Head Start Performance Standards.
  • Parent Engagement: Foster strong partnerships with families to support each child's educational journey. Through parent conferences and regular engagement, you'll actively involve parents in their child's development, collaboratively addressing challenges and celebrating achievements.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of child progress, attendance, and observations. Your documentation will not only meet regulatory requirements but also serve as a valuable resource for tracking growth and informing future educational strategies.
What You'll Bring:
  • Educational Background: CDA in Infant and Toddlers (Required). Associate's, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in early childhood education or related field (Preferred).
  • Experience: One year of experience teaching children ages 0-3 years, and knowledge of diverse ethnic groups.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Tech Skills: Basic technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to navigate agency technology tools.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with employment laws to ensure nondiscriminatory and legally compliant practices.
