The position of Quality Improvement Specialist will pay $66,560/annually. (If licensed, $72,560/annually). Additionally, the lifespan compensation range of this position is: $66,560/year - $75,000/year.

This role's primary purpose is to work in a dynamic QA/QI department, helping to monitor and provide oversight of the quality of services in the All For Kids Behavioral Health Department. This role serves as a resource for staff to ensure compliance to service delivery and documentation standards, commensurate with All For Kids Policies and Procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the Dept. of Mental Health (DMH) to ensure 100% compliance to State of California standards.
  • Participates in quality improvement and training efforts to ensure that quality services are being provided for children and families in adherence with All For Kids Behavioral Health Policies and Procedures.
  • Serves as an ambassador in supporting Beharioral Health service excellence, program compliance, as well as staff satisfaction and professional growth.
  • Supports training of new hires during probationary period by auditing submitted documentation and providing QA/QI feedback.
  • Supports the on-boarding of new hires and the continuous learning of current Behavioral Health staff by leading weekly mentoring workshops.
  • Serves as subject matter expert in designated area as determined by Supervisor.
  • Attends site Behavioral Health staff meetings to provide QA support and respond to QA-related questions.
  • Maintains consistent, open, and collaborative communication with site Manager/Supervisors.
  • Assists with preparing for State Audit Reviews and LA County DMH Program Reviews.
  • Audits documentation to ensure program compliance with government contract requirements, DMH standards, and federal/state/local regulatory agency requirements.
  • Documents compliance issues, as well as communicates findings to appropriate supervisor for follow-up and resolution.
  • Assists with preparing for State Audit Reviews and LA County DMH Program Reviews.
  • Promotes through quality improvement and training efforts to ensure that quality services are being provided for children and families and that service delivery is adhering to core All for Kids Behavioral Health Policies and Procedures.
  • Supports Behavioral Health staff in adhering to company policies and procedures to ensure legal, ethical, and safety standards are maintained.
  • Coordinate with Behavioral Health administrative staff and supervisors to problem solve any obstacles to effective service delivery and resolve any interface concerns.
  • Participates in quality improvement meetings both internally and externally to act as liaison between agency and DMH to assist with communication of new policies and procedures, audits, etc., to Supervisor.
  • Participates in identifying clinical risk management issues, and monitors staff implementation of appropriate Safety Planning Interventions as required by agency policy.
  • Monitors and implements compliance to HIPAA privacy laws.
  • Serves as a resource for staff and staff implementation of departmental quality improvement and Utilization Review efforts.
  • Contributes to the development of associated Policy and Procedures.
  • Monitors implementation of data collection and data entry for Program Evaluation.
  • Maintains confidentiality in matters of agency operations, personnel and clients.
  • Communicates and interacts with all staff through a trauma-informed and DEI? lens.
  • Maintains positive communications with all agency staff, clients, and visitors.
  • Exercises good judgment in performance of duties and responsibilities.
  • Supports existing agency policies, principles, and mission.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license plus ability to provide own transportation to complete travel requirements of the job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • LPHA (ACSW, APCC or AMFT required); Licensed Psychologist, LCSW, LMFT, LPCC in the State of California preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mental health service including psychosocial rehabilitation and interventions with children/youth.
  • Must have strong computer skills including knowledge and experience with Microsoft office, Word, and Excel.
  • Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Demonstrated expertise with service standards set forth by the State of California regarding Medi-Cal/Short Doyle/EPSDT , CalAIM and electronic health record (EHR) practices.
  • Training skills, including curriculum development, and presentation experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with County IBHIS is preferred.
  • Ability to function as a member of an inter-disciplinary team.
