As a Patient Accounts Specialist II at Children’s Health, you’ll contribute to making life better for children by processing claims efficiently and resolving billing problems. Your responsibilities will also include:
- Complying with third-party contracts, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Ensuring charges have been billed within guidelines.
- Participating in process-improvement initiatives.
Shift: This position will require you to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is also a remote position.
Required experience and skills
- At least two years of health care experience
- At least two years of customer service experience
- Knowledge of general procedures and guidelines used by health insurance companies, government agencies and employee benefits departments, and familiarity with health care provider billing and collections procedures
- Excellent mathematical and computer skills, experience with Microsoft applications and a typing speed of at least 40 words per minute
- Ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships and to become fully integrated within a team
- Written and verbal proficiency in English
Required education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree or equivalent professional experience
Licenses and certifications
- Preferred: HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative
