Children's Land, an Early Childhood Educational Center is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Part-Time Music Teacher with a specialty in piano at our Mount Prospect location. This individual will be responsible for providing high-quality music education to students of various ages and skill levels. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music, children and education, and a commitment to inspiring little students in their musical journey.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement engaging music lesson plans and games.
• Conduct group music lessons, ensuring a fun and productive learning environment.
• Organize and prepare students for recitals, performances, and other music-related events.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall music program.
• Maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere that fosters students' love for music.
• Manage scheduling of lessons and communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress and upcoming events.
• Keep track of musical instruments and resources, ensuring they are well-maintained and properly used.
Qualifications:
• Degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field, with a focus on piano.
• Proven experience in piano instruction with students of various ages and levels.
• Strong piano playing skills and a deep understanding of music theory and technique.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
• Flexibility in scheduling, with the ability to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends as needed.
