The MBH Access Department is responsible for the centralized intake and scheduling of patients in the mental and behavioral health department. The MBH Access Coordinator partners with the MBH Care Navigators to deliver a seamless pre-service experience. The MBH Access Coordinator works closely with clinicians and families to determine the needs of the patients, complete scheduling, conduct follow-ups, and equip families with ongoing resources while waiting for their appointment.

- High school education or equivalent required.
- One year experience in registration and/or scheduling required. Customer service experience required.
- Experience working with families of diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds strongly preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in mental health preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary to gather and share information with providers, patients, families, and team members in a courteous, professional and confidential manner. Ability to maintain positive communication skills during stressful situations.
- Ability to navigate, coordinate multiple services, prioritize and multi-task to meet the needs of patients, parents, and clinic staff.
- Able to work with minimal supervision. Proven independent thinking skills.
- Prior experience working in a Windows environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Organizational skills necessary to maintain records, coordinate clinic appointments and prioritize work independently.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
