Description
The Hope for the Holidays Specialist is a seasonal, part-time position focused on supporting CHS’s annual toy drive in their local region. Specialists will report directly to CHS Corporate Giving Specialists in their geographic market – Charlotte, Greensboro, and Raleigh.
The position will be from October 10- December 8, 2023. The Specialists schedule will be as follows:
Weeks 1-6: The specialist will work five days a week for about two hours per day, depending on workload, to ensure the smooth enrollment of wish lists into the gift matching system and to assist donors as needed in selecting wish lists.
Weeks 7-9: The Specialist will work in the office five days a week for 7 hours per day to facilitate gift donation receipt, sorting, and pick-up.
Over the 9-week period, the total hours worked will be between 150 – 170 hours with an hourly wage of $15.00 per hour.
Areas of Responsibility:
- In partnership with the Corporate Philanthropy Specialist, help secure in-kind and cash donations
- Engage existing and new volunteers
- Review and approve online wish lists
- Inventory and organize gifts at local CHS office
- Coordinate distribution of gifts to foster families
- May need to pick up donations from various locations in personal vehicle
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Experienced in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Personable, well-spoken, and professional
- Excellent organization abilities and attention to detail
- Passionate about the work of CHS
Miscellaneous Requirements:
- Must have a driver’s license and adequate insurance to drive on behalf of CHS
- Must be 18 or older
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
