The Cook position is an experienced and fully functional Cook which prepares hot and cold food for patients, families, staff, and catering events; operates and prepares food utilizing the kitchen grill; helps train less experienced cooks in developing culinary and kitchen skills.
Unlike other cook positions in the industry, this position comes with FULL BENEFITS including medical, dental, and vision coverage and Paid Time Off.

Essential Functions
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.
Cooks hot meals and prepares cold meals for patients, families and staff.
Operates and prepares food utilizing the cafeteria grill or kitchen grill as needed.
Takes the lead and expedites food service during peak hours of operation.
Maintains a clean workstation and equipment, observes scheduled kitchen maintenance, and adheres to industry standard sanitation practices in compliance with state, city and county regulations.
Rotates perishable food items, check and verifies food temperatures, labels products with expiration dates.
Trains and mentors new and less experienced team members in various areas of food preparation, grilling, kitchen maintenance, and expediting; assists with shift coverage as required.
Provides kitchen and cafeteria related customer service to hospital patients, families, and staff.
Assist Executive Chef with menu planning. #LI-TS

Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED required
Experience: One year of cooking, kitchen and grilling experience.

Salary Information
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $30,475.57 to $45,713.35
Hourly Salary Range: $14.65 to $21.98
